To make milk from coconuts: TIn 1 1/2 cups of lukewarm water, soak 1 cup of desiccated coconut. For creamy coconut milk, grind it and strain the paste through cheesecloth.

One cup of desiccated coconut should be soaked in one cup of warm water to make chutney and curries. Process it to a paste.
